This is outrageous! We have all seen food prices soaring (despite government assurances that they are not) and now this move…. the time is certainly now to begin storing food. I just read this morning from Proverbs 21: 20 where it states: “In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.” Thanks for the post, Marsha. I echo your sentiments right now that we need to be proactive and store food and other provisions for uncertain times.

Thanks Marsha for informing us about what is going on. I am not a proponent of conspiracies, but …..you have to be watchful and alert during this critical time right now. Some say George Soros bought the presidency (not being political). He has been building his platform to form a one world order for years. I believe people are beginning to wake up and see what is really going on.

The good news about his latest take over of grain companies, is that we know what his strategy is. Take control of the food industry. Just think about it. How many foods are made up of grains?

Debt Ceiling debate is just one reason why we must take control of our lives and get serious about preparing for the unknown.

Amid growing anger, debt limit debate drags on…..is a headline on the CBS Newsfeed this morning.

–If the debt ceiling is not increased by August 2, the administration says, the United States will no longer be able to meet the present financial obligations. A deal must be in place by July 22 in order to get a deal through Congress in time. There is much uncertainty … “we’re running out of time.”

Hi gang, just thought I’d add a note on home gardening. I recently attended a seminar , in our area, on raising produce (even fruit trees) in…give up? BAGS.
I decided to give it a go, we have some fruit trees,walnut trees(not sure how that will do but nothing ventured notheing gained is my motto) berries, veggies, even some flowers now in bags,. I didn’t buy the”special” bags I “converted” our empty feed sacks that I’d been saving for that purpose, into bag containers and then set them in laundry baskets (from the dollar store) so I could move them easily or in case the bottom of the bag ripped out. ( one could even spray paint the bags for color co-ordinating to your own home or garden “theme” FUN ,there are other options besides buying special bags or feeding a herd of hungry critters and saving the empty sacks(ask me)…also there are definate “tricks” one needs to be aware of ,for this type of gardening..From the on- line “peek” I took of the sq ft gardening mentioned below, I think many questions would be answered that would help one in setting a garden so you could BAG it ( a joke ..(I am waiting until I have a larger book order before I purchase it ,in order to save on shipping). Have fun gardening this year, putting up,putting by but most of all being Prepared..now then kick back after a day of tending your baggies,and make a nice cup nutritions,easy and convienient e global soup for supper… YUM!

Hi everyone, thought I’d pop in and see what every one was up to. Preparedness : If anyone is wondering about preparedness, believe me, if something should happen to your power source,it is freezing outside,and you are not able to use any transportaion for more than a few days, you will become a preparedness “convert”. Living in the country at the end of the power line ,being prepared is a necessity for us. I purchase in bulk for a variety of reasons. It saves money,I don’t just “run” to the store, if I need something,etc. So I make sure we are prepared. I also can,freeze and raise things etc). You do need to go to the “big” city and restock sometimes..I had to do that last week on some items.. WELL… talk about sticker shock..prices are going up, kiddo’s.. The “average” shopper may not notice ,since it is more “gradual” when shopping every day or every week. Look at some of your fav’s , remember what they cost just 6 mths ago. Don’t be surprised if they are going up again. Hubby made a very intuitive observation,the other day: Due to the flooding in the states where corn is raised, many farmers haven’t been able to plant yet, and corn should be knee high by July..ummm this will be a biggie don’t ya think? So won’t it be nice to not have to push & shove in the store since you already are prepared with either home gorwn or great e-global resorces..don’t forget to add some ‘luxory” fun stuff ( a bag of m&m’s can make a day seem brighter especially for the kids,,paper items, hand sanitizer(in the event you lose water it comes in handy) some candles and bottled water. oh and don’t forget about needed items for your four legged,finned,feathered or scaled family members.

When I consider all that has happenned in the world just since The Great Wealth Conference was announced it is shocking. The Middle East unrest, Iceland & Japan earthquakes, inflation, global economic issues….

Preparedness is a reocurring theme in many conversations, articles, news reports etc. There in an underlying feeling of uneasiness that is very unfortunate but part of what we have to deal with. The key is readiness on all levels. Financial choices, food reserves, clean water access etc

I am looking forward to learning more at the conference, sharing ideas, and making new friends.
