Commissions via ProPay Saves You Money

Many people wonder why so many companies have moved to a method of direct deposit for payment. eFoods Global is no exception, as we pay our Independent Business Owners through a transfer method called ProPay. Why did we choose to do this?

The answer is simple: it’s cheaper, faster, and more efficient. We put your commissions into your account (direct deposit for us), where you can decide how to manage your money—withdrawal, transfer to your bank account, etc. This method of business also plays a significant role in being green, as you don’t have to throw away any paper or use your car to drive to the bank. (ProPay signups are in your Back Office; look for it in your settings, and if you need help, IBO Customer Support is happy to help!)

Now, some of our IBOs choose not to be paid by direct deposit, which is fine, but you must know that cutting an actual check takes work and money. It costs us time and resources to create, process, and mail a hard-copy check, while in comparison the cost incurred for direct deposit is ridiculously minimal (no envelopes, stamps, paper, or extra time incurred for check printing). ProPay is our preferred method of commissions payment, but if you want a check, you’ll have to pay the $3.50 fee to have it printed and physically mailed to you.

Additionally, our ProPay deposits are scheduled for Fridays—you know exactly when to expect your money—but a lot of IBOs have enjoyed being paid early, as sometimes we can have the deposits made to your accounts a day sooner. Contrast that time to having to wait for a check in the mail!

A survey conducted by the Electronic Payments Association shows some interesting statistics about direct deposit:

Even as small businesses get bigger, many of them still don’t use direct deposit. Eighteen percent of small businesses with revenue between $10 million and $20 million still do not use direct deposit.
Businesses where less than 75 percent of workers are salaried are less likely to use direct deposit.
Small businesses that don’t use direct deposit waste a lot of time. One-fifth of small business owners who don’t use direct deposit in their business visit their financial institution 15 or more times per month.
A business with 25 employees would save at least $2,000 a year. A business with 100 employees would save at least $7,000.

If eFoods Global is your part-time business and you work for a company that is not using an electronic method of transferring money, encourage them to do so! They’ll save money and become more efficient with their time, and you’ll be saved a trip to the bank!
