You will want to develop a survival list for various topics in order to be fully prepared.
Each list will need to be tailored to the size of your family and any special needs a family might have. It is important you being to develop your list now. While you may not think of everything, starting is important. You can add to the list as you go and learn more about what you need to do to prepare.
Your emergency survival list should also take into account different circumstances – economic downturn – disasters – weather conditions – disruption of food supply and other topics.
Survival List – Are You Prepared?
Your survival lists should include but is not limited to the topics below:
- Food Storage
- Water Storage
- Shelter
- Light
- Heating/Cooling
- Air
- Sleep
- Hygiene/Sanitation
- Protection
- Medicine/First Aid
- Communication
- Electrical Power
- Financial Security
- Transportation
- Bug Out Bag
- Car
- Tool Kit
- Pets
These lists can and should be revised based on your needs. And, it also depends very much on what you are planning for!
There are 5 types of disasters: Natural, Pandemic, Man-Made, War/Terrorism/Crime and Personal. You will develop your survival list based on the circumstances you are planning that might happen.
In addition, there are 3 levels of preparation:
- 3 to 7 Days
- Foreign, Economic or Natural Disaster
- Off The Grid
Your survival list will have some common ground at all three levels, but the list will grow the longer you need to be prepared to take care of you and your family.
